Wireless technology integrated into your hearing aids

You may already know this, but Bluetooth technology is now an integral part of most new hearing aids on the market.

Wondering what that means in practical terms? Read on to discover the main advantages of Bluetooth integration.

Audio streaming

First, if you connect your hearing aids to your cell phone via Bluetooth, you can get calls directly to your  hearing aids!

And that’s not all! It also works for anything you listen to on your cell phone, whether it’s videos, music, FaceTime calls, etc.

The best part is that the tone will be adjusted based on your audiogram, so the sound will be even better suited to your hearing than regular Bluetooth headphones.

Hands-free feature

With Bluetooth integration, you can use your hearing aids as a hands-free device. When you get a call, all you have to do is press the program button on your prosthesis to answer it.

Also, depending on the model you choose, your voice will be transmitted through the microphones on your hearing aids, not the microphone on your cell phone.

With these features, you no longer have to hold or even touch your cell to talk on the phone, making it a completely hands-free system.

Very pratical apps

Prosthesis manufacturers have all designed an application specifically for their hearing aids. If you connect your hearing aids to your cell phone, you can also connect them to the related app.

This app first serves as a remote control, to adjust the volume on your hearing aids, for example. It also gives you access to several additional settings that fine-tune the performance of your hearing aids.

You can choose the direction of your microphones, raise the noise reducers in a loud environment, create sound programs yourself and more!

Most hearing aids on the market now come with Bluetooth technology.
