The prosthetic follow-up
The prosthetic follow-up is necessary to go over your adaptation to the hearing aids. You will be able to discuss any difficulties encountered. Your audioprosthetist will be able, if necessary, to modify the settings to improve your listening comfort. At the conclusion of this meeting, a follow-up appointment will be set up according to the needs identified by the audioprosthetist. (3 to 6 months)
The annual follow-up
During the lifespan of your hearing aids (on average 5 to 6 years), your audioprosthetist will have follow-ups with you. Your hearing aids represent the cutting edge of miniaturized technology. However, because your hearing aids are placed in your ears, heat, moisture and foreign matter can accumulate and deteriorate the performance or, worse still, prevent good performance. We thus recommend an adequate follow-up which will ensure good performance. Use the maintenance products daily and visit your audioprosthetist on a regular basis (ideally twice per year), and you will benefit from doing so and get several years of optimal operation out of your hearing aids. Ask about our follow-up plan.
